The next meeting of the Book Club will be on 1st August at 11 am in the Nick Simons Hall.
The book will be Brothers by Bernice Rubens. This immensely powerful novel follows four generations of the Bindel family as they fight for survival in a hostile world. From imperial Russia in 1825 they head towards Western Europe, returning finally to modern Russia – where the persecution of the Jews continues. As this is a very long book, the discussion on 1st August will only be about the first section only. Do come and join this small group. Contact Maureen for further information.
