It has been wonderful to have resumed our regular in person cheder at the synagogue for all of this school year. We have had regular meetings every fortnight in term time and enjoyed a mixture of Hebrew learning and Jewish studies. The children are coming along brilliantly with their aleph-bet and are starting to learn some vocabulary words. In our Jewish studies section we either learn about the upcoming festival or what is in the parsha that week. We always try and join the community in the synagogue for adon olam and are doing our best to join in! We have very much become a family cheder and the input of all the parents is really appreciated, it helps our diverse group in terms of age and stage to function really well. Thanks to Deborah for this report and for her work and Poppy Simons’ work this year, in talking to our large number of school parties who visit the Synagogue. The cheder year ended with a lovely Friday night supper for families which was well attended and enjoyed by all.
