Pinner Visit – February 2017 – Report

Around 30 members of the Pinner Congregation visited Norwich this week end joining us for both Friday night and Shabbat morning services. On Friday evening Maureen gave a well received talk about the History of Jews in Norwich which was followed by Friday night supper.  On Sunday morning they were shown the documentary about the Mediaeval  Bones (BBC History – Cold Case) discovered during the construction of Chapelfield shopping centre in Norwich.  These remains which were proven to come from Jewish people of the time were later reburied in the Jewish Cemetery at Bowthorpe.

Finally the members of the Pinner community presented  Marian with a Certificate of Friendship and an invitation for us to visit their Synagogue in Pinner, (see photo above)
