Visit of Papal Ambassador to the Norwich
On Sunday 19thMay the Congregation hosted a visit from the Apostolic Nuncio
( The Ambassador of the Vatican to the Court of St James) Archbishop Edward Adams.He was accompanied by Bishop Alan Hopes and was welcomed to the Synagogue by Hon President Mr Barry Leveton and by Joel Druet who gave a short explanation of the service and showed the Archbishop one of the Torah scrolls. This was followed by a Bagel Breakfast and the Archbishop had the opportunity to talk informally with members of the Congregation and visitors including Mr Peter Whear, Chair of the Liberal Community
