Israel – past, present and future: The work of JNF UK
Since its establishment Israel has had the highest level of immigration of any country in the world and with this success comes one of Israel’s greatest challenges of this generation. The challenge of Israel in this decade is to successfully populate the Negev: “If we cannot overcome the sands of the desert, the desert will overcome the lives of the people” (Ben-Gurion- 1963).
JNF UK is proud to be playing a very significant part in rising to this challenge; the regeneration of existing communities in the Negev and the building of new ones.
KKL Executor and Trustee Company, a subsidiary of JNF UK, has been providing will writing services for many years. In addition to acting as Executor in administering estates (collecting in assets, calculating and paying inheritance tax and distributing your estate under the terms of the will), KKL looks after their clients’ pastoral needs. This includes arranging a funeral and tombstone consecration and, if requested, for Kaddish to be said. Legacies play a very significant part in supporting projects in the Negev and JNF UK is proud to be a partner in the continued growth of the State of Israel.
