We were all sadened by the recent death of Shimon Peres, the last of the original founders of the modern State of Israel, former President and a man of imense stature in Israelli politics.
We were touched to receive a message condolences from our neighbours on the opposite side of Earlham Road, the text reads as follows:
“Condolences and prayerful support on the death of former President Shimon Peres. We the cathedral of St. John the Baptist assure you of our support. We have been good neighbours and friends over the years. With love and prayers from,
