As can be seen in the article below and in the local press and TV, there is a lot of interest in the Jewish history in Norwich and this last month in particular was busy taking a local group around the City highlighting sites of interest to our history.
Lincoln CCJ (Council of Christians and Jews) group, who visited us at the Synagogue first for coffee and an introduction to our history and they then went off to visit both of Norwich’s cathedrals. There was also a group visit from a London shul, led by historian Charles Landau in April, we welcomed them with a cup of coffee and gave them a brief introduction to our own Synagogue and then Charles took them off for the walk – unfortunately a very wet day. We also hear from Jewish people on holiday who ask if they can see the Synagogue, or perhaps just drop by on the off chance! If any of our own members would like a City tour of this nature, please get in touch with Marian or Maureen.
