Promoting an Understanding of Judaism

There have been Jewish people living in Norwich since the 11th century, and the present community can trace its roots back at least 250 years.

Norwich Synagogue is the only synagogue in Norfolk and Suffolk, and we are keen to work with schools, universities, and colleges and with other educational organisations, to promote a greater understanding of Judaism. This interfaith work is an important part of what we can offer at the synagogue.

The Norwich Jewish community is represented on the Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education and on the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

Norwich Synagogue is a place of worship, community and friendship. We strive to make our synagogue a welcoming place and open our arms to anyone who wishes to join us. We are proud of our history and look forward to making new memories in the future. If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
