It is with a sad heart that we record the unexpected death of Rabbi Lord Sacks who was our Chief Rabbi for 22 years. He has left a great legacy with his many writings and for us in the community his revised edition of the Siddur, we use every week. We have sent our communal condolences to his family and we as a community have received a letter of condolence from the Bishop of Norwich and the Bishop Alan Hopes from the St Johns Catholic Cathedral.
Our building works have started this week and they will take about six months to complete. Please note that the Synagogue site is now closed during the week as the Builders are in charge. We will endeavour to maintain Sabbath services again whenever practical, but at present we are closed because of the Covid virus lockdown. We have arranged various Zoom services which we hope you are able to support. There will also be a weekly coffee morning on Zoom too. We are in for a quietish winter, but hopefully things will get back to normal during the coming year, and it is good to hear that there is now hope of a vaccine in view.
