Societies at Norwich Synagogue

Events Committee
The small committee organises fund raising and social events during the year. Volunteers for this committee are always welcome and of course for the events themselves.

Jewish Book Club
This group is made up of members from both Norwich Synagogue and the NLJC (the Liberal Jewish Community) and meets for a light lunch about every six weeks to discuss a pre-chosen book, usually on a Jewish theme or by a Jewish author.

All the above groups welcome new members at any time.

Board of Deputies
Every community in the country sends a representative to the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

The Council of Christians and Jews
The Synagogue is a member of the Norfolk branch and there are about six meetings a year either in a local Church or in our Synagogue. The Synagogue provides a Chairperson alternately with someone from a Christian group.
