As Marian is in Australia at the time of writing, there is no From the President’s chair this month, however, we wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to her for all the hard work she has been doing since she took office eight months ago. She has been working very hard with Nick Simons and a sub-committee on preparing plans for our hall upgrade, but news on that will not be available for another month or so; she hosted our friends from Pinner during November and organised several Shabbat meals. All this as well as working on her doctorate and con-tinuing her job as an educational psychologist. She really deserve everyone’s heartiest thanks. I hope she has enjoyed visiting family in Melbourne.
