FROM THE PRESIDENT’S CHAIR by Peter Prinsley - March - April 2010

Those of you lucky enough to get to Shul during the last freezing weeks will have appreciated the weekly warming of the spirit and the thought provoking sermons from Alex. I am sorry that the heating has been a bit of a problem. Our system is a little old but the time clocks are being attended to and I am hoping things will warm up!

We have had an active month. A highlight for me was to see the Shul Hall full of flamenco dancers with big smiles on their faces. Thanks to Debbie, who is Harold's daughter, for coming to dance for us. Is there no limit to the hidden talents in our community?

Our conversations about the Norwich Jewish Centre continue and we are grateful to our Hon Legal Advisors, John Cadywould and Adrian Possener, for their work on our behalf. An arrangement to share our building will bring benefits to both Congregations if we can see our way through the legal and practical considerations.

It is now time to look forward to Pesach and to Spring and in a few weeks the Shul garden will be full of blossom so come along and have a look if you get the chance. I wish you all Chag Sameach and look forward to seeing you at the AGM if not before.

I wish you all a really happy 2010
