I feel honoured that I have been re-elected as your
President for the second year.

The past twelve months have been a busy period for the congregation, there have been seventeen events which were well supported, including welcoming the Archbishop Justin Welby from the Anglican church and the Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Edward Adams from the Catholic faith.

There have been Sabbath services each week,
some better attended than others.

The coming year will be another busy time with the 50th anniversary of the consecration of our lovely Synagogue and the redevelopment plans for improved facilities and a Heritage Centre taking shape.

As suggested at the AGM it was decided that for an experimental period the layout of the seating in the Synagogue would be modernised.

The central area will now be a mixed area for men and women and on the right hand side facing the bimah, ladies and on the left for gentlemen.

The seating has been curved to make it more inclusive. We hope this layout will be acceptable and we would appreciate any comments.
