I am very honoured, at the recent AGM, to have been elected President of the community, where I have been a member all my life. To take on this honour at this time is not going to be easy because of the recent loss of our Treasurer and Project Manager, Nick Simons, to whom I pay great tribute, he is a great loss to our community. I also give many thanks to Marian’s work as our President over the last three years, her energy and enthusiasm were legendary, and I am not sure that I will be able to keep up that momentum, but I am pleased that she will be continuing her work on the building project and fund raising and be able to concentrate on it. I welcome old and new members to the committee and look forward to working with you.
