Camp Simcha Open Day Success

On Sunday 3rd December, Debra and Nick Carpenter held an all day Open House in aid of the Jewish charity “Camp Simcha”. They wanted to thank the charity for their wonderful support for the family when their daughter, Ruth, was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumour, a type of kidney cancer. Ruth has now finished her treatment and is clear but is scanned every three months. The charity also paid for the whole family to have a week in Eilat in November.

Camp Simcha is a really great charity which exists to improve the quality of life for Jewish families affected by serious childhood illness. Their mission is to ensure that no such child, anywhere in the U.K. has to suffer without them.

The Open House was well attended and great fun with games, stalls and much tea, coffee and cake.  Raising over £830 for Camp Simcha we should all be proud to have been able to support such a worthy charity. Well done Debra and Nick.
