We have been fortunate to have a number of exciting items donated to us from members ranging widely both in type and value which we now intend to auction off in a silent email auction with all proceeds going towards our refurbishment funding.

 

Auction Lot Details:

 

Lot 1. Holiday

A week’s holiday in glorious Southwold by the sea, at any time of the year (except July/August or Christmas/New Year) for four people in a luxurious period house near the promenade, town centre and other attractions.

Lot 2. Painting

An original oil painting on board of a house along Regents Canal, London. Painted by Kalman Kemeny (1896-1994) entitled ‘Regents Canal). Approx. Size 18″ x 13″

A  fantastic evening cruise on Barton Broad with a Champagne dinner served on board for four people.

Lot 4. Decorative Ceramic Pot

A wonderful ceramic pot/vase made by internationally famous potter David Schlapobersky made in his Buckkenbury Pottery Studios, Western Cape SA.  The pot measures approximately 14″ high by 12″ wide, a most attractive piece.

Lot 5. Handmade Embroidered Quilt (1)

 

This handmade quilt made by Sandy Bennett who many of you will know is a really talented and creative seamstress.  This quilt called “Rose Crazy” is suitable for a small single bed and is exquisitely decorated with peach and green embroidery. Approx. Size 60″ x 76″

Lot 6. Handmade Embroidered Quilt (2)

 Another quilt by Sandy Bennett, entitled ‘Garden Party’.  This is really a ‘sampler quilt’ done in pinks and purple and again a really attractive work of art that would grace any home.  Approx. size 42″ x 54″

NOTE: Both quilts are non washable or suitable for use with young children due to embroidered beads.

 

 

 

 

Lot 7. Hand Knitted Blanket

This lot is for a blanket that does not yet exist!, but one which can be commissioned from our Jonny D’Angour who knits these for his close friends.  On offer is a knitted woolen blanket, approximately 5 foot square.  The purchaser will be able to choose wool colours and have a say in its design, alternatively you can leave it up to Jonny who will take about 3 months to make this individual and unique item

Lot 8. Home Baked Celebration Cake

 

 

 

 

 

A home made cake for any “Special Occasion”, birthdays, anniversary or bar mitzvahs etc., expertly baked and decorated by Poppy Simons.  Cake can be one or two tiers, different flavoured sponges and decorated to match you requirements.

Bidding Instructions

1. All bids must be at the reserve price indicated or above

2. Please email your bids to treasurer@norwichsynagogue.org.uk, receipt will be acknowledge by email.
3. If any bid is outbid, your will be notified by email so that you can consider raising your bid.
4. Bidding period is LIMITED, bidding is only open from Thursday 24th August until midday on SundaySeptember 10th.
5. All proceeds will go towards the Norwich Hebrew Congregation refurbishment fund.
