I am pleased to announce that with the help of two local charities that our fund total is now just over £225,000 which is a fantastic achievement in the six months that we have been fund raising.
Our thanks go to the John Jarrold Trust and also the Goodman Trust via the Norfolk Community Foundation for their respective generous donations.
We have also received a number of donations from relatives of past members for which we send our grateful thanks for remembering Norwich where they grew up and the Synagogue where they received their Jewish education.
We now need to raise a further £160,000, which Marian and I are hoping to make do over the next 6 months or so with approaches to further charities for their help and through a big concert featuring the famous Zemel Choir, to be held Summer 2017 (watch out for further details) at the Roman Catholic Cathedral which they had kindly offered for this fund raising event. This is a wonderful gesture of inter faith generosity and understanding for which we thank them.
