70 days for 70 years

To recognise the 70 years since the relief of Auschwitz amongst our Jewish
communities the United Synagogue has launched a project called 70 days for 70 years. ‘This is a
small book with a collection of 70 essays by world renowned authors, designed to engage and
empower participants in a global project in memory of Holocaust victims and create a positive
learning experience’. Each book has a card inside with the name of a Holocaust victim and the idea
is to learn in the name of that victim and using the Yad Vashem database, possibly learn some more
about that individual. One essay or story, each day for 70 days which takes us up to Passover. If you
are late getting the book you will be able to catch up! I think this is a very worthwhile project,
which everyone can gain from and learn and remember. Each book costs £3, if you would like to buy a copy, please email your request.
